A travel advisory has been issued for Erie County that will extend until further notice.A winter storm warning is also in effect through Sunday evening. County Executive Mark Poloncarz cites the weekend's extreme winter conditions for the actions, including accumulating snows, gusting winds and frigid temperatures. He is advising that county residents avoid unnecessary travel, keeping roadways clear for plows and emergency vehicles.
Some areas could see as much as a foot of snow and wind chill values well below zero over the next 48 hours.
