A teacher from the Newfane School District has been arrested and charged with forcible touching.
Niagara County Sheriff Deputies arrested Salvatore Anello, 42, of Niagara Falls Thursday following an investigation into a complaint. Anello is charged with one count of forcible touching, an A misdemeanor. Further details of the incident are not being released.
Anello is reportedly an art teacher at Newfane High School
The Superintendent of the Newfane School District has posted a letter to parents on the district's website indicating the district is cooperating with the Sheriffs Department.
Anello was arraigned in Newfane court with bail set at $1,000/$2,000.
Anello is due back in court on February 17.
