A Batavia woman has been charged in the 2014 death of an infant, a case that also sent her son to jail. Batavia Police contend that 63-year-old Jacquelyn Deats was present and acted negligently when infant Chandler Zuch stopped breathing. Deats' son, Jeffrey, was charged with striking the child, leading to the baby's death. Jeffrey committed suicide in jail before his trial.

Jacquelyn faces a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

She will appear in court later this month.
