A Friday night shooting that occurred on Grant Street near the Buffalo State College campus has taken a life. The female victim in the shooting has been identified as Jamila Furquann, and she has died from her wounds. A 20-year-old male victim remains in serious condition at ECMC. The shooting occurred at around 11:30 Friday night.
Neighbors expressed surprise over the shooting, stating that the area is generally safe.
