Hundreds of people turned out for the grand opening of (716) Food and Sports Friday. Buffalo's newest restaurant is part of the HarborCenter complex.
One of the first patrons, Wayne Klepas of Buffalo, said he likes the atmosphere.
"The giant screen is really great," Klepas said. "It's a good place to come and enjoy sports and social activity."
The restaurant includes a 38-foot-long video screen over the main bar that can be seen from the first and second floor. And there's over 70 additional big-screen TVs including TVs embedded in the bathroom mirrors.
(716) includes a 40-foot-long “bar top” that was created to replicate the ice in a hockey rink. The “ice” will be illuminated creating a unique experience for patrons.
Two complementary island bars will also sit on the first floor and second floors
(716) has a total of 360+ seats, including 135 bar stools. Entrances are located at Scott and Washington Streets and in the attached parking ramp.
