Schumer working to limit GPS tracking

WBFO File Photo

New York Senator Charles Schumer is moving to propose legislation that would limit the use of GPS trackers.

Schumer's efforts would make it illegal for a GPS device to be attached to someone's vehicle without their permission. The Senator calls such covert tracking a violation of personal privacy and believes it could pose risks to victims of domestic violence and others.

Exceptions are being considered for law enforcement and some parental circumstances.
