Fans from around Western New York descended upon the Buffalo Bills Fieldhouse on Saturday to pay their respects to the one and only owner the team has ever known. Ralph Wilson, Jr. passed away last month at the age of 95. Attendees were treated to photos of Wilson throughout his life, including his years in the Navy and his time with the Bills. There many pieces of team memorabilia on hand as well. Wilson's widow, Mary, joined a number of former team players in recalling special moments of the team's past.
A statement from Mary Wilson reads: "I want to take this opportunity to thank Bills fans and people everywhere for their tremendous outpouring of love for Ralph. Their heartfelt condolences and warm wishes have truly been a comfort for me, Ralph's daughters Christy and Dee Dee, Mary Owen and the entire Wilson family during this difficult time."
Mary has taken controlling ownership interest in the team.
