A pair of early morning fires have led to tragic results. A two-alarm blaze in the 1400 block of Fillmore Avenue has taken the life of a 7-year-old child. The fire started at around 7 Sunday morning, and investigators remain on the scene. The cause of the blaze is still being determined.
An Orchard park home is being considered a complete loss after a fire that was reported at around 5 o'clock Sunday morning. Three of the homes occupants have been taken to an area hospital with unidentified injuries.
A report estimates the loss at $150,000.
