This year's local elections will feature at least a pair of hotly contested races. County Legislator Lynn Marinelli is leaving her seat after a nearly a 20-year run. Her latest job is a newly created state post representing Western New York. Competitors are lining up to enter the race for her legislative seat.
Also, State Senator Tim Kennedy is likely to face a stiff challenge in his second bout with Betty Jean Grant. Kennedy barely defeated Grant in a primary two years ago, but Grant could have stronger support in this year's election.
WBFO's Chris Jamele and Artvoice editor Geoff Kelly cover those races and they look at the latest study regarding truck traffic at the Peace Bridge in this week's Press Pass.
