An early morning house fire has taken the lives of two in the Southern Tier. Emergency crews are still on the scene on South 2nd Street in Olean. Three occupants of the home have been transported to Olean General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, but two individuals were unable to escape the home and have perished in the blaze. WIVB news reports that the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The home has been considered a complete loss, and there was damage to a neighboring home.
The names of the victims are being withheld at the moment.
