Residents on Ardmore Place in the City of Buffalo are celebrating the return of the historic brick surface to their street. Neighbors contacted City Hall back in July when crews began tearing away the paved surface in preparation for new black top. When the original brick was exposed, residents lobbied to have that surface restored.
The action has spurred an effort to return even more of the historic feel to the street. The city is planning to replace the existing light poles with those which compliment the older feel of the neighborhood.
