Weather issues have continued to delay the construction work on the southbound Grand Island bridge, but this weekend that work will be underway. Travelers heading southbound along the I-190 will use a single lane on the northbound Grand Island bridge. The detour will likely cause slowdowns a the bridge heading in both directions.
The work is expected to be completed early on Sunday.
