Missing Albion girl found, man in custody being questioned

A 12-year-old Albion girl reported missing Wednesday afternoon from Albion Middle School has been found unharmed. Police say Marina Zeppetella was located on Route 77 near the New York State Thruway interchange in the town of Pembroke Thursday. She was last seen around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday at the school.

An adult man is being interviewed by police. Investigators are asking the public to contact Albion Police at 585-589-5627 if they may have seen the girl with an adult black male, possibly in the City of Buffalo.

Albion Police say Zeppetella is believed to have left the area on her own free will and was assisted by the man. Authorities say her being located was a direct result of the media’s assistance and a tip from a concerned citizen.
