Listeners to "All Things Considered" on WBFO know commentator E.J. Dionne, mainly for his discussions with David Brooks on Friday afternoons. Currently with the Washington Post, his work with the New York Times covering state politics brought him frequently to Buffalo. E.J. Dionne returns to Buffalo Wednesday night at 8 p.m. at 710 Main Theatre.
Dionne will deliver a talk which will look at the tension between two core American values: the love of individualism and the reverence for community.
In a conversation with WBFO earlier this week, Dionne says the themes emerged in his 2012 book "Our Divided Political Heart."
One sponsor of his local appearance is Blessed Sacrament Church of Buffalo, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
Tickets are available by calling 816-0144.
