Demolition crews were back to work at the Bethlehem Steel administration building inLackawanna on Friday evening. A Supreme Court Justice refused a request by preservationists to stall the work, and crews began removing portions of the building's facade. A spirited effort had been waged to save the 1901 building that many felt held historical significance. Portions of the building will be preserved for display at the Lackawanna Steel Museum.
Work is expected to be completed over the next few days.
