A pair of AMVETS truck drivers performed a potentially life-saving rescue Friday afternoon.
Ron Metzger and Francisco Martinez noticed another motorist having a medical emergency behind the wheel on Broadway. The drivers pulled their truck in front of the other car, slowing the car to a stop. Police arrived to find the unidentified driver having a heart attack. He is listed in fair condition at ECMC.
Lancaster Police credit the AMVETS drivers with preventing what could have been a disaster on the roadway.
