Buffalo City Court officials are confirming that Buffalo Police may have conducted an illegal search of an East Side residence.
David Neal Mack claims that a search warrant allowed police to enter an upstairs apartment in his building. Police later burst into Mack's first floor apartment. The warrant did not allow for the first floor search, and no suspected narcotics were found in the building. Mack is seeking restitution for broken doors.
Buffalo Police would not comment as the investigation continues.
