Firefighters battle fast moving grass fire
Town of Tonawanda Firefighters were called near midday on Saturday to battle a brush fire near the Dunlop Plant.
Nearly 30 trucks from nearby municipalities responded to the call as the blaze quickly spread over two acres. National Grid was called to assist with handling a downed power line. This is the same acreage that firefighters were called to last week for a fire.
The cause of the blaze is thought to be a combination of dry conditions and hot sun, though an investigation is underway.
