The Niagara County SPCA is finding itself troubled once again, this time financially.
Efforts to shift the facility to a "no kill" shelter have caused a crippling increase in the number of animals being cared for. Estimates are that more than 150 cats and 70 dogs are currently sheltered at the facility. Demands for staffing, supplies and improvements to the SPCA have created a huge financial deficit.
The organization is appealing to the public for help.
