Thunderstorms cause damage throughout WNY

Downed powerlines and trees are scattered about the region following early Thursday morning storm activity.

In Cattaraugus County, power outages were reported around the towns of Leon and South Dayton. According to National Grid, the outages impacted just a handful of customers, with most expected to be back on-line quickly. 

Crews in Wyoming County were busy clearing tree limbs off state route 238 near Attica.

Trees also were knocked down in  path in Niagara County. One Town of Cambria one resident will be looking a for a new vehicle after a fallen massive tree crushed his parked car around three this morning.

More storms are possible this afternoon.
