The Chautauqua County health department, on Monday afternoon, announced the county's first two confimed cases of COVID-19.
A Dunkirk-area woman in her 30s and a Silver Creek-area man in his 30s, both of whom had recently traveled to Buffalo, had separate exposures, based on an intial review.
Both are in precautionary quarantine. Neither is hospitalized.
Officials are working to identify close contacts of the two individuals. Once notified, they will be placed in mandatory quaratine and asked to monitor for symptoms.
