Kaleida puts DeGraff Hospital up for sale

Kaleida Health

Kaleida Health is putting the five-story tower of DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda up for sale.

Kaleida is listing the 445 Tremont Street property as a redevelopment opportunity.

Kaleida just spent about $7.8 million to renovate and expand the hospital's emergency department, which is not part of the sale. The skilled nursing facility at the site is also not part of the sale. Kaleida will continue both of those operations.

Kaleida Health, based in Buffalo, also operates Buffalo General Medical Center, Gates Vascular Institute and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.

Mark Wozniak, WBFO's local All Things Considered host, has been at WBFO since mid-1978.
