Petrucci ready to tackle city school issues as he returns to the board

WBFO News photo by Eileen Buckley

The Buffalo Board of Education will hold a ‘special meeting' Wednesday evening to swear-in newly appointed Park District Board member Louis Petrucci. The school board approved his appointment following the resignation of Catherine Flanagan-Priore.  She was appointed after the New York State Education Commissioner removed Carl Paladino last year.  WBFO’s senior reporter Eileen Buckley met with Petrucci at City Hall to talk about his return to the school board.

Petrucci is a former Park District board member from 2007 through 20-13. He also served one year as board president. Petrucci is the assistant director the city’s Department of Permit and Inspection Services. Now he’s ready to make comeback and represent south Buffalo for the remainder of a three-year team until next May.
