The labor dispute at City Honors School has not been resolved between the Buffalo Public School District and teachers' union. In this week's Press Pass conversation WBFO's senior reporter Eileen Buckley and Buffalo News Education reporter Jay Rey discuss the issue that could force the school to cut five and a half teaching jobs at City Honors.
February 27th was the original date those teacher transfers were to take place at City Honors, but a temporary restraining order is preventing the cuts until a judge decides on the Buffalo Teachers Federation request for a mediator. In the meantime, late last week the judge in the case has been asked to recuse himself because of a family connection to one of the teacher's to be cut.
