Celebrating Trappist monk Thomas Merton’s time at St. Bonaventure

St. Bonaventure University will be celebrating the connection it had with Trappist monk Thomas Merton. As part of our Focus on Education reporting, WBFO's Eileen Buckley spoke with St. Bona president Sister Margaret Carney who talked about the school's three-day Centennial conference taking placelater this month. Merton's 100th birthday will be marked next year and the June event will to focus on Merton's time on the St. Bona campus and in Olean.

The Thomas Merton Centennial three-day conference at St. Bonaventurewill run from June 19 through the 22.
