Niagara Falls man pleads guilty in McKinley Mall stabbing death

Keith Sparks is facing up to life in prison when he is sentenced in October.

A Niagara Falls man has pleaded guilty in the stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend.

The Erie County District Attorney said Keith Sparks, 44, has pleaded guilty as charged to second degree murder in Erie County Court.

He was in custody for fatally stabbing Mallicia Tipps, 38, inside the Sears store at McKinley Mall in Hamburg during the afternoon of Sept. 25, 2019.

Sparks faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison at his sentencing on Oct. 19 and is currently being held without bail.
