Erie County District Attorney John Flynn has announced that Grand Jury selection has resumed.
This is part of the phased reopening of in-person court procedures that were suspended in March by the coronavirus pandemic.
In a release, Flynn said he anticipates that criminal cases will start being presented to the Grand Jury Monday.
As with other reopening businesses and organizations, the Office of Court Administration has enacted restrictions for people entering the County Court Building, including mask wearing, a temperature check and verbal screening. Admission will be denied if someone has a temperature of 100 degrees or higher or fails the verbal screening.
Social distancing rules are also reducing seating capacity in all courtrooms.
