The U.S. Attorney’s office says a second suspect has pleaded guilty in a multi-million-dollar mortgage fraud scheme in Western New York. Authorities say Patrick Ogiony, 35, of Buffalo has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud.
Officials say between March 2011 and June 2017, Ogiony conspired with his co-defendants to defraud financial institutions, by providing false information overstating the incomes of properties owned by Morgan Management or certain principals of Morgan Management.
The U.S. Attorney’s office says that Ogiony admitted the properties included several in New York State, as well as Pennsylvania, Illinois, Texas, and North and South Carolina. Ogiony will be sentenced at a later date.
Kevin Morgan previously was convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and is awaiting sentencing. Charges remain pending against Frank Giacobbe and Todd Morgan. Kevin Morgan is the nephew of developer Robert Morgan. Todd Morgan is Robert Morgan’s son.
Robert Morgan has not been implicated in this case.
