Authorities allege disabled infant offered in sex acts for money

A Wyoming County man has been sentenced to more than 16 years in prison and another 20 years supervised released for his conviction on conspiracy to produce child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Ronald Caryl, 26, of Silver Springs conspired with a Nashville mother to engage her one-year-old disabled daughter in sexual acts for money.

“The depravity of the conduct by both the defendant and the disabled infant’s mother is unthinkable,” stated U.S. Attorney James Kennedy. “Child predators, such as the defendant, belong in cages so they cannot continue to victimize children.”

The two met on an online dating website, but a website employee notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about the possible endangerment of a minor and illegal content. The Center then contacted the FBI.

The mother also has been convicted and is awaiting sentencing in federal court in Tennessee.
