Buffalo Police say two people have died from a shooting overnight in the city's Fruit Belt.

The shooting happened just after 12:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Grape Street.

Four people were struck by gunfire and transported to local hospitals. However, police say a 17-month-old boy and a 54-year-old woman have now died.

Two other men - a 34-year-old and a 48-year-old - were treated and released from Erie County Medical Center after being struck by gunfire in the leg. The incident remains under investigation.

Buffalo Police Capt. Jeff Rinaldo plans an update Monday at 11:15 a.m.
