New York State Police Troop A says it have a woman in custody after she barricaded herself in her home on Brown Hill Road in the Town of Concord.
Police says the 911 call came in about 8 a.m. Wednesday. The woman's husband and their 10-year-old son had fled the residence.
Shortly after arrival, road patrols created a perimeter around the home and the portion of Brown Hill Road between Pfarner and Trevett roads was closed to traffic. Then a request came in for "special tactical teams and negotiators."
That same road was the location for a man who barricaded himself inside his home and was charged with shooting at Erie County Sheriff deputies. Concord Police Chief Gary Gacek said when the call said "Brown Hill Road," it brought back memories from that 2014 incident.
However, State Police said at no time was there a threat to the general public and "there were no injuries." Charges are being considered against the woman in custody as the investigation continues.
