OP woman indicted for setting fires in father's home

Wyoming County Sheriff

After an extensive investigation, the Wyoming County Sheriff has arrested 40-year-old Jody Nelligan of Orchard Park on charges she set two separate fires in her father's house when family members were present.

The Sheriff says the first fire was set in the basement of Thomas Capell's home at 68 Liberty Street in Arcade on March 23 of last year. The second was set the next morning in a second floor bedroom closet.

A grand jury indicted Nelligan, she was arraigned in Wyoming County Court and bail was set at $25,000 cash, $50,000 bond.

Nelligan is scheduled to return to court in September. The Sheriff provided no motive for setting the fires.
