A Marilla man has been charged with vehicular manslaughter in the death of a 9-year-old girl.The Erie County Sheriff's Office says 52-year-old Mark Korzelius was operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday on Two Rod Road near Route 20A in Wales. Korzelius allegedly crossed the center line and crashed head-on with a passing vehicle driven by Gail Hoffman.
Hoffman is in critical condition at ECMC. Her young female passenger was taken to South Buffalo's Mercy Hospital, where she died.
A 7-year-old girl who was also in the vehicle was treated at the scene and released.
