A Lewiston businessman accused of kidnapping and torturing a woman in his home has reportedly been indicted by a grand jury. Iver "Jay" Phallen was in Lewiston town court last night for the proceedings.
Phallen, 67, was arrested last week after a woman accused him of torturing her at his townhouse two weeks ago. He met the woman at a Buffalo gentlemen's club.
Phallen's alleged victim has also been granted an order of protection, which directs Phallen to stay away from her and bars him from phoning her from jail.
Phallen has been remanded to Niagara County Jail without bail. His attorney says Phallen will plead not guilty to the charges.
