One killed, three wounded in Buffalo shooting

A shooting near the Langfield Housing Projects in the Bailey-Kensington neighborhood has left one person dead, and three people wounded. Police spokesman Mike DeGeorge told WBFO News the shooting happened at around 3:40 Tuesday afternoon.

It took place on a footbridge near Oakmont Avenue, not far from the Roosevelt Playground.

One fatality is confirmed, and three others with non-life threatening were taken to ECMC for treatment.  The Buffalo News is reporting the person who died was a 13-year-old boy.  The News says the shooting followed an argument between a girl and some boys.

Police were initially hampered in their investigation by the severe thunderstorm passing through the area.
