Fourteen year old arrested in shooting death of fellow teen

Buffalo police have made an arrest in a weekend shooting of a 16-year-old in the city's Hamlin Park neighborhood.  The suspect is a 14-year-old.  Myles D. Taylor III will be charged as an adult with second degree murder in connection with the death of Kelmyne Jones.

Police aren't saying much about what happened.  But at a late afternoon news conference, Mayor Byron Brown says it's a tragedy for the families involved and the community.

“Our message to criminals is clear: if you commit a homicide in this city, we will find you and arrest you,” Brown said.

Earlier, police had said there was a dispute between two groups of young people in the 200 block of Northland Avenue Saturday that led to the shooting.
