West Seneca woman found dead; police looking for son as 'person of interest'

West Seneca Police are investigating the murder of a 77-year-old woman.  Detectives say the body of Carol Quinn was discovered in her apartment on Burch Place located not far from the city line.  Out-of-town friends asked police to check on her welfare after she failed to answer their calls.  That's when her body was discovered.

Police are searching for her son-45-year-old Primitivo Cruz as a person of interest in the case. Police want to question him.

Police say Cruz was arrested about a week go after an incident with his mother and an order of protection was issued.  Police believe he might be staying with friends in the Kenmore-Buffalo area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Seneca Police at 674-2280.

The Erie County Medical Examiner's office is expected to conduct an autopsy on Quinn's body Monday to determine the exact cause of death. But police are treating this case as a homicide.
