Welcome to the 3nd Annual Western New York Urban Treks Challenge brought to you by Outside Chronicles and the Black Rock Riverside Alliance (BRRAlliance). This challenge was created to get people out on our urban trails during our beautiful Buffalo summers.
The Western New York Urban Treks Challenge is designed to give people an opportunity to visit some of well-known and little-known urban parks. Along with hiking the trails, the trail material will educate participants on parks history and local flora and fauna to spot along the trail.
The Boston Free Library's Summer Jamboree is on Thursday, July 25th from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Over 20 local craft vendors, live music with the Boston Town Band, hot dogs for sale, crafts and activities for the kids, mini golf and a large basket raffle. The game is afoot! If you love history and mystery, try your sleuthing skills on the Warren County Historical Society's Trail of History Challenge IV.
The competition begins with a trip to the Warren County Historical Society Building at 210 Fourth Ave., Warren, PA, to pick up your set of clues. Each clue requires you to travel to a different part of Warren County to discover the answer. Completed answer sheets returned by Friday, September 5 at 4:00 pm will be entered into a drawing for the prize pack.
Registration opens on May 15. For a cost of $10 per team, you will receive a Whirley Drinkworks! cup, a clue packet, and instructions--and loads of fun!
The Historical Society is open every Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-4:30PM.

Established in 1977, the Hamburg Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday starting the first Saturday on May through the last Saturday in Oct. This is a traditional local producer only agriculture farmers’ market offering a wide variety food item from the finest locally cultivated produce, rancher, homesteader, and culinarian products. Farmers and ranchers rotate throughout the season depending on what they harvest or what is available. Each week you’ll also find local non-profits and community organizations. There is a playground for the kids and pets are all welcome at the market but must be on leashes.
