It appears the fast food chain Chick-fil-A will soon double the number of stores in Western New York from two to four.
Documents were submitted to the City Zoning Board of Appeals proposing a location in the Delaware Consumer Square Shopping Center, near the corner of Delaware and Hinman avenues in North Buffalo. The restaurant will be 5,000 sq. ft. and will be part of a larger project under consideration where Rainbow Apparel, Game Stop and Moe's Southwest Grill are now located.
The proposal is on theagenda for the April 21 board meeting.
The chain's first area store opened in 2018 on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga, followed by another the next year on Transit Road near Losson Road, also in Cheektowaga. Another Chick-fil-A announced two months ago is planned to open in the Fall of next year at 3464 McKinley Pkwy. in Hamburg.
