Rudnick retiring from influential Partnership

thepartnership.org

After more than 20 years on the job, Andrew Rudnick is retiring as President and CEO of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership. Rudnick says he will stay on until a successor is named, which is expected to happen by the middle of next year.

Rudnick says in terms of economic development, he believes Buffalo is at its highest point in 20 years.

"You see it in the revitalization of downtown, the role of the Buffalo billion, the Can-Am commerce, waterfront development, the quality of the conversation is much better and much more optimistic," Rudnick said.

As head of the area's most influential business advocacy organization, Rudnick says it has taken 20 years to re-engineer a complex metropolitan area.  He says he believes people and businesses are more optimistic about Buffalo and its future then at any point in the last two decades.

The Partnership says it will conduct a national search to find a new leader.
