A little bit R&B. A little bit EDM. A little bit funk. The multi-instrumentalist producer and performer GRiZ is a little bit of a lot. He’s playing music off his new album 'Ride Waves' at Buffalo Riverworks Thursday night. WBFO’s Nick Lippa spoke with the artist about his sound, influences, and what exactly “future funk” is.
Grant Kwiecinski, also known as GRiZ, is a 28-year-old from north Detroit. His new album 'Ride Waves' features collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Bootsy Collins, and several other prominent musicians.
