Theater critic Anthony Chase joins WBFO's Gabe DiMaio and reviews "Blanche Survives Katrina in a FEMA Trailer Named Desire."
It's a production of the Buffalo United Artists and stars Jimmy Janowski. Blanche DuBois has neither aged nor left New Orleans. She was there when Katrina hit; she was sent to the Superdome; she was evacuated to Shreveport and entangled in the heartless bureaucracy of FEMA. It runs Saturdays and Sundays through April 27 at the Main Street Cabaret at 672 Main Street.
Tony also reviews Alleyway Theatre's 23rd annual "Buffalo Quickies," on stage through April 19th.

MusicalFare Theatre presents "The Belle of Amherst" in the Premier Center Cabaret at MusicalFare Theatre, April 11-13, 2014. Based on the life of poet Emily Dickinson from 1830 to 1886, and set in her Amherst, Massachusetts, home, the play makes use of her work, diaries, and letters to recollect her encounters with the significant people in her life - family, close friends, and acquaintances.
