Hamburg teen killed in car accident

An early morning car accident on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation has taken the life of a fourteen year old girl. Another teenage girl is listed in critical condition at Women and Children's Hospital.

The accident occurred after four AM on Versailles Planks Road, when the vehicle, driven by a nineteen year old male, slid off the road and down a steep embankment. Authorities claim that the cause of the accident remains under investigation.

"We do not know at this time what caused the accident. There are many factors involved, and until we know for sure we're not going to even speculate at this time what happened."

Other passengers in the car were treated for minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with authorities.

The car was part of a group who were on their way to Canada.
