Voting continues to name the Albertosaurus at Buffalo Museum of Science

The public can continue to participate in the naming of the Buffalo Museum of Science's latest addition.  

Its new Albertosaurus was unveiled at the Museum along with a mastodon named Seymour on November 26, 2011.  Since that time the Museum has been collecting names for its new exhibit.  
Over 300-names were submitted. 

The top ten names were chosen by Lise Buyer, the financial donor responsible for bring both the Albertosaurus and mastodon to Buffalo.   

The top ten names are as follows:
Daphne           Darwin            Fernando        Florence                      Gladys
Marvin            Nigel               Sadie               Samantha                   Stanley

The community is invited to vote for their two favorite names on the museum’s Facebook page, by using the mail-in ballot on http://www.sciencebuff.org/ or by filling out a ballot onsite at the museum. Individuals may vote once per voting method. Votes will be taken through January 16, 2012.

The name that receives the most votes will be announced on or around January 19, 2012 and declared the official name of the Albertosaurus.
