Local religious organizations are lending their voices and support to the Occupy Buffalo movement.
A two hour celebration was held in Niagara Square on Saturday called the Interfaith Peace and Social Justice Ceremony. The day's activities included a candlelight vigil and performances by local choirs. Occupy Buffalo protester Mindy Comangane claims that such support helps justify her efforts in bringing to light the economic injustices in the world.
Joining forces for the celebration along with the Occupy Buffalo protesters were the Interfaith Peace Network and the Network of Religious Communities.
