Clinton Tours Niagara Falls Air Reserve Base

By Justin Sobol

Niagara Falls, NY – US Senator Hillary Clinton, D-NY, appeared at at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station Monday. She met with military officials to discuss base conditions, military missions and funding.

Clinton announced more funding for the base to help ensure its future in Western New York. She says it would be a big loss to the country if it the base was forced to close.

"I think that anytime there is a base closing process you have to be vigilant and realistic. I personally believe this base is in excel shape with a tremendous record of service," Clinton said. "It meets needs in both fronts on the war on terror in terms of national security and homeland security. But I don't think you can take anything for granted."

Officials plan to use the extra money on military construction and the purchase of equipment.
