Mobile sports betting begins in New York this weekend.

The state gaming commission said four betting operators have been approved to begin transactions as of 9 a.m. Saturday. The approved vendors are Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, FanDuel and Rush Street Interactive.

The commission said five other operators that also received conditional approval in November will be issued the go-ahead on a rolling basis.

In a related note, the Buffalo Bills have announced a multi-year partnership with the FanDuel Group, designating them as an official mobile sports betting partner of the football team. FanDuel is allowed to use official Bills marks and logos, and will gain access to a range of media assets, including TV, radio and online media to engage Bills fans, plus in-game signage and activations at Highmark Stadium.

New York is estimating that mobile sports betting will bring in $500 million annually, with $5 million going to youth sports, $6 million going to combat gambling addiction and the remaining revenue going to education.

The state joins Connecticut, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and New Jersey across the Northeast with legal sports betting.
