A rare framed photo of Susan B. Anthony is being auctioned with a starting price of $5,000.
The 20"-by-16" photo was found in a concealed attic space in a building in Geneva, NY, after the property was sold in December.
The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reported that the owner of the building, David Whitcomb, has worked with an antiques dealer to bring some 350 items discovered in the attic to auction. One Source Auctions of Canandaigua will hold the auction Sept. 18.
"J. E. Hale's photograph of Susan B. Anthony, taken at Lochland in 1905, selected as official photograph by Susan B. Anthony Memorial Association," reads the description of the item. "This is one of the last photographs of Susan B. Anthony and it was taken in early November 1905, only four months before her demise."
Anthony "was an American social reformer and women's rights activist who played a pivotal role in the women's suffrage movement," as the description mentions. The house said it was difficult to know how much the collection would fetch because some of the items are one of a kind.
