The Erie County Legislature announced Friday that it will hold three public hearings on the plans and negotiations regarding a new stadium for the Buffalo Bills.
A private study unveiled earlier this week considers renovation of the nearly 50-year-old Highmark Stadium, or construction of a new facility; whether a new stadium should be domed or uncovered, and whether it should be located in Orchard Park, downtown Buffalo, or elsewhere.
The public hearings will take place at 6 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Erie Community College City Campus, Dec. 7 at ECC North Campus in Amherst and Dec. 8 at ECC South Campus in Orchard Park.
COVID-19 precautions will require participants to wear masks and practice social distancing at these meetings.
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Common Council is hosting a public hearing regarding the location of a new stadium Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. The Council unanimously passed a resolution recently to have the stadium built in downtown Buffalo.
