Behind The Bench: Krueger fired after 12 straight losses

The Buffalo Sabres can't buy a win. The team has gone 0-10-2 over its past 12 games. The NHL season is about half way through, but the Sabres are already out of the playoff hunt. Unsurprisingly, Head Coach Ralph Krueger was relieved of his duties Wednesday morning. Buffalo Hockey Beat reporter Bill Hoppe discusses how the Sabres got to this point, who will coach the team moving forward and what to expect from the team as they enter a brutal upcoming schedule.

You can read Bill Hoppe's articles at his Buffalo Hockey Beat website and at BuffaloNews.com. Follow him on Twitter at @BillHoppeNHL.

Nick Lippa leads our Arts & Culture Coverage, and is also the lead reporter for the station's Mental Health Initiative, profiling the struggles and triumphs of those who battle mental health issues and the related stigma that can come from it.
